Nostalgia

She started counting stars
Like he once taught her
One, two, until she numbered
Every constellation
That’s when he had asked her
To pick her favorite
And she said she couldn’t choose
He pointed out Gemini
The twins
Who must never be lonely
He told her that was their love
Always together
In the same sky
She sat there this time
Wrapped in winters chilling embrace
Instead of his summertime arms
Wondering
Where it had gone
