Two Months Later

I still think of you
In cups of morning tea
And lipstick stains on ceramic mugs

You’re present on every sidewalk
In lingering scents of cigarette smoke

I look for your car in New York traffic
I listen for your voice ordering black coffee

I find you in music playlists
In text tone chimes
In television sitcoms

You were warmth
You were comfort
You were soul

You are gone

I am cold
I am alone
I am empty

I’m still here

    Tragic, love it. Good imagery.
