Powder Keg

You heartbreak catalyst

Pulling him down the road
Of delusional honeymoon whispers

You know damn well those pillow talk vows
Hold weightless meaning

Are you really so praise thirsty
That the price of untainted hope
Is one you’ll gladly pay?

You slayer of innocence
Shattering bliss

What kind of twisted generosity is this?
You get him high on your butterfly kisses
Just for merciless gravity
To send him crashing?

Does that thrill you?

Look at him floating around with hearts in his eyes
A ray of sunshine can’t see the coming storm
Even with your lightening glances
Drizzle fingertips
Thundering intentions

The least you can do
Is give him an umbrella
