Was I Your Full Moon?

You kissed me like you lost something
I had hidden within me
Like it was something you longed for
With a desperation stronger than desire

You kissed me like a wolf
Desperate for a bite
of an innocent heart

Like yours was incomplete
Like I had its missing piece

Your kiss wasn’t gentle enough
to represent passion
You kissed me with something more
You kissed me out of necessity
Selfishness
Never checking to ensure that I needed it too
